LP-1 (Low Pass)

The LP-1 series are low-pass filters used primarily to isolate bass frequencies for subwoofers .

• Function: Blocks high frequencies, allowing only the low-end "bass" signals to pass through to the amplifier .
• Typical Slope: 12 dB per octave .
• Common Uses: Used when an amplifier or head unit lacks a dedicated subwoofer crossover
• Adjustable Frequency Range: The module features internal factory jumpers that can be configured to select from 16 discrete frequency points ranging from 42 Hz to 200 Hz .
• Steep Crossover Slope: While standard FMODs use a 12 dB/octave slope, the LP-1 provides a steeper 18 dB per octave slope for its low-pass outputs . This allows for more aggressive attenuation of high frequencies, leading to cleaner subwoofer integration and less "localization" of bass.

Input and Output Configuration

The LP-1 is designed for flexible routing within a stereo or multi-channel system:

• Two Input Channels: Accepts standard stereo RCA line-level signals .
• Mono-Mixed Low Pass Outputs: Consolidates the low-frequency information from both input channels into a mono signal, ideal for driving a single subwoofer or a pair of mono-block amplifiers .
• Bypass Output Channels: Includes two full-range bypass outputs, allowing the original stereo signal to continue to a main amplifier or additional processing without signal loss .
