Product Details

This universal Audio Parametric Patch Board allows the user to connect any combination of balanced or unbalanced XLR, balanced or unbalanced 1/4” phone, balanced or unbalanced Euro connector and unbalanced pairs of RCA connectors that can also be grounded to equipment ground terminals if needed. Applications such as professional sound allow the user to mix and match the most common audio connectors without hunting down audio cables and specialized adapters. The RCA connectors are arranged in such a manner that the Harrison Labs FMOD pairs can be inserted using the unique sliding rods that lock the FMODs in place. When adding FMOD crossover pairs, the user can create balanced or 2 channel unbalanced crossovers that XLRs, Phone plugs, and Euro connectors in any combination such as XLR in and Phone out and vice versus, Euro in and Phone out and vice versus etc. If unbalanced applications are being implemented, then this device will work with 2 input and 2 output adaptations or the equivalent of having 4 separate channels of 4 adapters for a total equivalent of 16 separate mono adapters. Another application is where specialized equipment such as audio processors with a variety of connector styles can be inserted between the input and output terminals of this Audio Patch Board.

There are two sections. Each input and output section has paralleled 3 terminal Euro, 3 terminal phone combo with 4 terminal XLR, and a pair of RCA jacks.

This Low Pass XLR unit is primarily used to isolate low-frequency signals for subwoofers or woofer drivers in balanced systems .

  • Signal Path: Installed inline between a balanced source (e.g., a mixer or preamp) and a balanced amplifier .
  • Subwoofer Integration: Ideal for systems lacking built-in bass management, allowing for precise subwoofer tuning without adding electronic distortion or "turn-on thumps" .
  • Frequency Range: Available in various discrete low-pass points such as 50 Hz, 70 Hz, 100 Hz, 150 Hz, 200 Hz , and higher.

Technical Design

  • Balanced Configuration: Specifically engineered with XLR male-to-female connectors to maintain a true balanced signal, which is critical for minimizing noise over long cable runs in pro-audio setups .
  • 12 dB/Octave Slope: Utilizes a standard 12 dB per octave slope, providing a smooth musical rolloff of high-frequency information .
