With a 12 dB per octave slope, these plug-and-play Harrison Labs (Red Label) FMOD’s (sold in pairs) are professional passive RCA line level crossovers that filters out unwanted low frequencies before they reach your amplifier. By removing subsonic noise and power-robbing low-end, these inline filters ensure your audio system plays louder, cleaner, and more efficiently. These filters are available in a premium gold finish and the new platinum edition finish, offering the same high-performance engineering in a sleek silver look to match your system’s aesthetic.

Choosing the Right High Pass Frequency

For optimal performance, technical precision is essential. If you are undecided between two frequency values, the professional recommendation is to err on the side of the higher value.

Selecting the higher frequency provides a greater safety margin, protecting your speakers from low-end strain and over-excursion. This ensures a cleaner, more efficient output and superior protection for your professional or car audio system.

FMOD COLOR CODE

High pass Fmods (filter modules) have red labels.
Low pass Fmods have black labels.

The color ring indicates the Harrison Labs standard crossover frequency (-3dB point).
There is an 8% (LP) / 25% (HP) frequency increase at 10K ohms and an 8% (LP) / 15% (HP) frequency decrease at 47K ohm load. Otherwise, all color design values of crossover frequencies are standardized at 22k ohms.
Keep in mind that exact crossover frequencies are seldom noticed or necessary.
