Real-time hex + note decoding
Displays every MIDI message in hexadecimal as it happens. On Channel 1, note on/off messages are automatically decoded into note name and channel number for fast, readable diagnostics — perfect for a home studio, where you’re verifying that a MIDI keyboard, controller, or synth is communicating correctly with your DAW.
Non-intrusive, thru-jack design Two MIDI thru connectors pass signal without degradation, so the logger can be inserted anywhere in an existing rig — inline in a home studio’s setup, between a stage control console and a sound module, or in a theater booth — without altering the signal path. Only the source needs to be connected for logging to work.
Two capture modes
• Continuous — streams live message data, ideal for monitoring an active performance on stage or in a theater in real time.
• Direct — captures and holds the first MIDI message, clearing only when the mode switch is toggled. Useful for isolating a single event during setup or troubleshooting in acoustically sensitive spaces where repeated triggering isn’t practical.
Self-powered, zero-load
Runs on a standard 9V battery, drawing no power from the MIDI signal source itself — important whether you’re working on a home rig or a fully-loaded installed system in a studio, auditorium, or stage.
